Dave's Landscaping and Snow ("we", "us") provides landscaping, lawn care, snow removal and property maintenance services in Warren, Michigan and the surrounding communities. This policy covers information collected through this website and through enquiries made by phone or email in connection with it.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to quote and deliver work:
- Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, property address and city, property type, the service you are asking about, and anything you write in the message field.
- Information from a phone call or text. The same details, taken down when you call rather than typed by you.
- Basic technical information. Our web host records standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
We do not ask for payment card details through this website.
3. How we use it
- To prepare and send you an estimate
- To schedule and carry out the work you have agreed to
- To contact you about your property, including during a snow event
- To send invoices and keep service records
- To respond to questions and complaints
- To meet legal, tax and insurance obligations
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.
4. Sharing
We share personal information only where it is necessary:
- With service providers who operate on our behalf, such as our web host, email provider and accounting software
- With a subcontractor assigned to your property, limited to what they need to do the job
- Where required by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim
5. Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The estimate form runs in your browser and opens your own email application; nothing is stored on this site. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch them.
If analytics are added in future, this section will be updated to name the tool and describe what it records.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept for a short period and then deleted. Records relating to work carried out, including estimates, invoices and service logs, are kept as long as needed for tax, warranty and insurance purposes.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Deleting records tied to completed work may not be possible where we are required to keep them.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can access it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
This website is intended for adults arranging services for a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
